The MSPIFF engaged Latitude to help them brand their 34th annual event, in order to attract and inspire a wider audience.
The largest film event in the region, and one of the longest running film festivals in the country, the Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival’s branding lacked any sort of cinematic je ne sais quoi.
Adding a little local flavor could go a long way in putting this festival on the map, and creating more support for this unique, local event.
Posters, merchandise and signage were designed to surround attendees before, during and after the event. We introduced the state of Minnesota—the coolest place in the “North”— into the key visual, to amp up local pride. Big chunky graphics and bright, vibrant colors were used to attract and inspire. By helping to increase awareness and increase attendance by 20%, you might say everything came together to create the ultimate, movie-like happy ending.
